Abstract

The invention relates to a shopping trolley of the type intended for users of supermarkets and/or self-service establishments or shops, which are nested horizontally inside one another for storage purposes, said trolley having improved handling and manoeuvring characteristics. The trolley essentially comprises: a basket (1) formed by a base (2) and four vertical side faces, one (3) of said side faces being vertically pivotable to allow the horizontal nesting of another trolley; a frame secured to the base (2) of the basket (1), comprising four legs (6), each provided with at least one wheel (7); and a peripheral handle (5) extending along the entire periphery of the upper edge of the basket (1).
